Have you ever wondered why famous fairytales seem to always have castles for backdrops? That’s because fairytale writers were inspired to write after seeing such great marvels. The muses went alive as the writers stared at those wonderful creations. One such castle still stands today and you are free to visit it. It is the Neuschwanstein Castle. The name might be unfamiliar to you but not its other name. It is also known as the Sleeping Beauty Castle. Can you dig it? Of course Sleeping Beauty did not sleep there or anywhere for that matter. It was simply a name given to it as it inspired the making of the story.

The Neuschwanstein Castle was a Bavarian Palace that still stands today on a steep hill. To a tourist, a glimpse of it would seem dreamlike. True to the tales told, the castle looks exactly the way it would look like in a fairytale. And true enough, it has already appeared in a bunch of movies. Remember that kiddie movie set on a far far away land? That’s that movie. Because of its fantastic appeal, it is easily a tourist-favorite castle in all of Europe.
Sunday Driving On Any Day
An estimated 1.3 million people visit the castle annually. You can get there by car. It is along the Romantic Road. And while you are on your way to the castle, indulge yourself with the scenic places of Germany. Although, Germany has the largest number of trains in the whole Europe, it is best to tour on car hire. This allows you to stop and go as you please and at your pace.
